The Natives of North America were going through a civilizational collapse or Dark Age, similar to the European Dark Age or the many periodic collapses in Egyptian history, this was far from the only collapse in North America, there were many "mound building" civilizations that rose and fell, for instance the giant complex at Poverty Point in Northern Louisiana is over 3000 years old and a nearby site largely unexplored appears to be over 5000 years old making the lower Mississippi region one of the cradles of very early civilization. A good example of what Styx states is Greenland, there were no Eskimos (Thule Inuit) when the Vikings arrived, there may have been a few remnants of the Dorset people in the far NW of Greenland, a thousand miles from Viking settlements, a people possibly related to the Cree who were largely pushed out of the Arctic and into extinction by the Eskimo people who immigrated fairly recently from Siberia. The Eskimos only settled Greenland towards the tail end of the Viking colonies existence and only in the far NW like the Dorset a 1000 miles away. As Styx alluded there is genetic and archeological evidence of a two way settlement pattern between the South Pacific and South America as well as possibly as far North as SoCal. In the US there is growing evidence including genetic and archeological to support the Solutrean hypothesis that Ice Age Europeans followed the ice pack to North America even before Asians first crossed the Bering Land Bridge or followed pack ice down the Pacific Coast. Even the Smithsonian the last few years is beginning to acknowledge the very strong evidence of the Solutrean European settlement hypothesis. In addition to this genetics studies show some Native Americans genetically have roots in the North Eurasian people from the North Ural region who immigrated both SE into Siberia and SW into Europe, some tribes have as much as 25%+ of their genetic material from these early Europeans before they ever crossed into North America. History is not as black and white as the anti science and anti history woke left want to believe.

Native Americans own legends in the region speak of the "Sheep Eaters" pale light haired giant people who existed in small numbers and whom they pushed into the mountains (thus sheep eaters as in bighorn sheep). Possibly descended from early European settlers, the Solutrean hypothesis or North Eurasian Caucasoids who moved SE into Siberia before crossing into North America and eventually mixed with Asiatic peoples. They are actively trying to bury science and history that does not meet what is acceptable to Woke Cultural Marxist ideology.

The Bantu Blacks never even settled the Cape Province or Orange Free State regions until well after White Settlement there, it was just the Whites and scattered groups of tiny Bushmen who the expanding Bantu had exterminated along with Pygmies from much of the continent, before the year 500 AD the Bushmen and Pygmies controlled 2/3rds of Sub Saharan Africa before the Bantu expansion/genocide began, to sum it up Black South Africans, other than a few Bushmen who are left, have zero claim to over half of South Africa unlike the Boers who do.
