  2. Because 90%+ of Mayors in large urban centers are far leftists and they appoint yes men as Police Chiefs and even if they get arrested they only face the far leftist DA who drops the charges. It is a two tier justice system, no laws apply to leftists but if a conservative even legally defends themselves the DA will bend the law into a pretzel to charge them with a crime.

Some truth to that but look at polling historically all the way back to 1980, Dems mysteriously always have somewhere between a solid advantage and huge lead according to pollsters, they start to reflect reality just weeks before the election so they can throw up the excuse "well it was trending that way". Even ones like Dukakis had huge" leads" in the Summer according to polls only to get smashed in November.
