  1. I think retired General Michael Flynn is on the short list, he was in 2016 and I bet Trump regrets not picking him then, Trump also made a off the cuff remark that Flynn needs to be ready. DeSantis is crashing among independents, the only GOP candidate that does worse is Ramaswamy who is unknown outside the GOP. I am not a massive fan of Noem, she is kind of meh, but he could do much worse, the fact she was the gold standard for no Covid restrictions is a huge asset and the fact she is a woman obviously is as well. I assume the short list is Noem, Flynn, Ramaswamy, Scott and Lake are on that short list.
