  3.  @redpillgermany2162  I think it is among those who paid attention in school, I remember a lot of discussion about the Weimer Republic, every school kid remembers the wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of bread story because the inflation was so bad. There is a lot of focus on why the Nazis came to power.

  5. Agreed, same thing is going to happen in the next Italian election I fear with Salvini, they both cost themselves a ton of centrist type voters over seeming cozy with Putin.

  6.  @beny5073  Odd in my school district it was just the opposite, very little discussion about the Nazis other than why they came to power thus lots of talk about the dumpster fire of the Weimer Republic, insane inflation etc. Did you perhaps grow up in a urban Dem area? Because I grew up in a rural very GOP area, even the Dems in my area were pretty darn conservative.

My guess is Macron and his party will form a coalition with the leftovers of the Socialists and the Communists, remember Macron was the Finance Minister of the last Socialist government who so damaged France economically and socially, his whole party are just refugees from the Socialist Party that wanted to have a political future so they jumped ship on the Socialist Party. La Pen's Party is also the biggest political threat to Macron so that is another reason he will side with the Commies.

  10. Media demonize her because of her last name and her fathers legacy as "far right", trouble is the most likely party leader to succeed her is her niece who is even farther to the right and has been critical of her Aunts centrist beliefs.

Things are getting crazy, for years there were those Political Science graphs showing the Left getting farther and farther Left of Center closer to Commie land while the Right stayed basically the same for the most part but the war in Ukraine has now caused some on the right to take a full blown sprint into scary land on the far right.
