Isoflavones bind to estrogen receptors in the body like real estrogen and mimic the effects, albeit not as strongly usually but not always, lavender in high concentrations for instance has had some terrible effects on infants such as breast tissue growth. Infants fed soy formula have phytoestrogen concentrations over 13,000 times higher than their own natural estrogen levels. Yes you are correct though about endocrine disrupting chemicals probably being a bigger issue. Its called a joke, a meme, ha ha funny.
