The irony is you showed the Simpson's cat lady and this incident took place in metro Portland where the Simpson's were created, many Simpson's characters are named after places and people in the Portland area, considering how insane Portland is it is no wonder the Simpson's creator came up with so many crazy ideas for the show. FYI Gresham is not a place to find a "quieter safer life" it is Portland's worst suburb, its a hotbed for gangs, although back in 94 the Portland area had little crime at all and was very safe and only humorously odd, not like today where it is violently bat crap crazy.

  3. Oregon is one of the most conservative normal states you will ever visit outside the Portland area (which Gresham is a part of) and the college town of Eugene. I hate Portland so much for giving us this reputation. The public response to the totally justified shooting shows why Portland now has the out of control crime it does.
