  1. According to Oregon officials they will run out of tests by Wednesday so no idea where all those supposed test kits from the CDC are? In addition to lack of test kits just plain back up in testing is an issue, Clark County Washington State sent in 8 samples for testing on March 2nd and 1 on March 3rd, it is now the 10th of March and of those 9 sent in a week ago or more 4 still have no results despite the University of Washington lab joining the State Health Lab in testing. (You can find these sources in the Oregonian and Columbian Newspapers). In addition to all this Oregon and some locations in Washington are still sticking with previous CDC guidelines and not testing anyone unless they had one of the following a) Traveled to an outbreak area b) had contact with a known infected person c) exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 severe enough to require hospitalization. Large numbers of people are not getting tested including 13 patients at the Kirkland elder care facility who died in the days previous to the official outbreak who were never tested to see if it was Cov-19 that killed them (KING News). I personally know of one individual who exhibited all the symptoms, they tested them for Flu and it was negative but since he was not in need yet of hospital care they refused to test him for Covid-19, this was in the Seattle area. FYI in Washington State the Insurance Commissioner required the insurance companies to pay for Covid-19 testing and in Oregon the Insurance Commissioner indicated he would make it mandatory if insurance companies did not do it voluntarily.
