  1. The 1974 Pantera was seriously underpowered in comparison to the 1972 due to the new pollution controls. The issues like cooling etc were quickly fixed by Ford, the reputation for continuing issues was undeserved. Jay Leno's Garage did a great episode on the Pantera, he has a 1971, the best year and has all the factory fixes for cooling etc. An Italian company the does auto design Ares has created a modernized version of the Pantera that is a 200mph supercar that costs over a half million.
