There needs to be some kind of laws that keep politicians from interfering with fire departments and putting innocent civilians lives at risk, these bureaucrats and politicians know nothing about fire fighting or EMS, its incredibly dangerous having them have control over fire departments. Have area Fire Boards and only former Fire Fighters, medics, police or Emergency management people be eligible to serve. Everyone in the city council/Mayor should be forced to resign.
