ISIS has a mythology based upon some very weird interpretation of religious scripture, they believe they will be virtually wiped out and that is the spark to bring about the second coming, the Mahdi (Muslim prophet and right of God in the end times) the end times will then begin in their prophecy, they are an apocalyptic cult. They literally want us to almost wipe them out so the end times can begin. They are not preparing for the end of the Caliphate because we are winning, they are preparing for the end of the Caliphate in order to bring about the apocalypse.
