The only Republicans I know that support Hillary are the very wealthy establishment elite types that benefit from things like bad free trade deals, these people are a good chunk of the establishment that has long run the GOP but represent about 1% of the voters at most, while every union worker I know (mostly Democrats) plan on voting Trump rather than the free trade queen. Look at statistics in several of the industrial states of how many changed parties and registered as republicans in the primaries as well as the huge number of Independents Trump won with, a group Hillary does terrible with. As for Republican women voting Hillary that is absolute BS, look at the polls Trump is winning white women and how many GOP women are minorities, about zero. The best VP choice for Trump is General Flynn, he will bring in more angry Democrats, and GOP politicians have to be incredibly careful criticizing a highly regarded war hero, GOP voters will eagerly accept him, where as Newt will turn off some independents and Reagan Democrats, although not nearly as many as Pence, I am a Trump supporter and former Democrat, the kind he needs to win and Pence makes me wretch so bad that I would not vote Trump if he were running against anyone but Hillary. Trump can easily hire Newt etc for other roles so he can get that DC experience and connections, he does not need that in a VP, a VP is a person to bring in votes and not chase away too many votes and Flynn would do that best, plus lets face reality, there is a lot of corporate establishment types that would want Trump dead because he could cost them big money with eliminating bad free trade deals but they will get the same out of Flynn if they kill Trump, making Flynn a great insurance policy.
