The only thing I see preventing Civil War is either a complete economic collapse where people are too busy surviving to fight, although honestly that could makes things even worse or a second a World War, which almost certainly will turn nuclear. The chasm between and sheer hatred of each other is too wide at this point, we are opposed to each other on 90% of issues. One side actively hates their own country and considers the Constitution a roadblock to their goals. Somewhere along the line regular run of the mill liberalism like I used to follow devolved into outright Cultural Marxism aka the slang term woke. The fact a recent poll shows a quarter of Democrats think violence is OK to achieve their political goals is shocking, and that number keeps growing as the far left MSM and academia along with politicians rhetoric continues to radicalize the Left. They have weaponized the legal system, which they have 75% captured, against their political enemies, once the legal system goes violence as a solution is a near certainty. The question that needs to be answered is how much of this radicalization on both sides to some extent is due to interference and propaganda from enemy countries like China and Russia? The influence of China on American academia, corporations and media is well documented.
