  1. You may want to read other accounts like Wikipedia, they are less salacious and probably more accurate, less than 5 minutes in there is a direct contradiction between Simon's story and other less controversial accounts of his life

  2. Why does this not match things like the Wikipedia version of events? In that they state he sent the boy to France to attend Military School no mention that he was "sold" into slavery also they seem to imply Miss Dumas was a free women. In addition other sources say HE chose his mothers maiden name because he was pissed at his dad, probably with good reason, not that his father forbid him to use it because he was upset with his choice of a Military career, why would you be mad at your son for choosing a military career when you enrolled him in a Military Academy? Makes no sense.
