Azerbaijan is also getting a ton of weaponry from Israel who see them as allies against Iran, the Azeris are surrounded by enemies Iran, Armenia and Russia, they only get along with Georgia and Turkey in that area. There are a lot of people in Azerbaijan, pretty much anyone under 60, that want to join NATO and the EU because they fear Russia and Iran, they are very supportive of Ukraine. Turkey would push NATO membership for them but Greece would veto it because they are close to Armenia, this could spark a wider war. Armenia now being left without full Russian support is making nice with the West and I read has offered to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as rightfully Azerbaijan territory IF they grant autonomy and passage rights to Armenia the way Armenia grants passage rights to the Azerbaijan exclave, so far Azerbaijan is not agreeing to that but if they want in NATO or the EU they have to settle the land dispute. I do disagree with Peter about Armenians "not very good Christians", most I know are devout Christians and good people.
