  1. Countries facing huge issues like China with demographic and economic collapse do crazy things in wild bids to stave off the inevitable, their problems make them more likely to do something crazy, see Russia as a recent example.

  2. It will be just like Russia's invasion a series of "military exercises" over months, two months offer consistent good weather for an invasion there, October and April so look for invasions then. The Chinese already have very substantial military forces in that area and have for some time.

  3. An invasion of Taiwan would mean WW3, the US is not the only country that would not could not tolerate it, I suspect Japan, Australia, UK and some others would be ready to go to war over it.
