  1. I have little doubt that Iran does want to acquire a nuclear weapon, but not for offensive purposes. Iran is not suicidal. Iran's leaders know that the US is deterred from running its regime change operations on a nuclear-armed country. And that's also why the US is so determined to stop Iran from becoming nuclear-armed.
