  2.  @lionsden5123 The US has been trying to overthrow Iran's regime for over 40 years, so you can hardly blame them for hating and distrusting both the US and its regional ally, Israel. Why did the US give nukes to Israel? It really does not need them since the US is totally committed to its defense. Both the governments of Israel and Iran include some hardliners. I remember one Israeli hardliner stating that if Israel ever goes down, it will take western Europe down with it. Great. And of course, many Israeli hardliners would gladly nuke the Palestinians. But, when you consider ordinary Israelis and Iranians, its not so bad.
