  1. @sultanhusnoo8552  your right, the key difference as you stated is that driving is required by everyone as a part of life due to the fact that most people have no viable alternatives, whereas mountain biking is done primarily by qualified professionals. The main takeaway here is that driving is not a good mass transit option as it requires natural ability and or developed skills, so when everyone is required to do it regardless of having those abilities or not, it leads to an incredibly dangerous situation that negatively affects billions of lives every year, either through death, financial ruin, or depression. Metros and trains would be a great alternative as no skills are required to ride a train/metro, they can in fact get you to your destination faster and safer.

  2. The whole perspective changes if you live in top of a mountain, then you would have to mountain bike too get groceries, now your having fun, and getting things done, all at a lower risk level. Of course you also have too account for the frequency that people drive vs mountain bike, unless these statistics already account for that. People drive a LOT more then mountain biking, so of course the statistic would be higher, again unless they already accounted for that.

  4.  @davec8473 motorcycling would be a lot more safe without cars. Also most motorcycle crashes are a result of the driver being reckless, or intoxicated, so the numbers are inaccurate when applied too a responsible driver.

  10. Ideally that would be the same for the mother as well, but unfortunately most women seem too lack the drive too overcome such fears as death,even in defense of those they love. Kinda disappointing
