Are you footing the bill? Low densities developments don’t produce enough taxes to pay for their infrastructure.

Cars take away your freedom by being your only option, whereas better built city’s you could choose between cars, public transit, walking, biking, or a mix of them.
5
They banned people when they made jaywalking, all thanks to the car manufacturers lobbying to get more cars on the road so they could make trillions.

That all sounds good, but have you seen Russias train routes? Bigger than the US and more developed. Also high speed electric rail would greatly improve travel times across country. And they could have sleeper trains so you go to sleep and wake up where you wanted to go. I tried these in Thailand and it’s the only way to travel long distances now.

@miriesnicolaebeniamin you not gonna believe this but we have these things called trains, they are just like trams but bigger and faster to cover long distances. 😁rest easy comrade Also if you want an adrenaline rush try a racetrack instead of endangering the lives of my loved ones with your garbage driving.

True, mass transit is crucial for good profitable cities.
2
That would be because public transit in America is opposed by powerful corporate lobbies
2
That is unless you have public transit and high density apartments nearby, then business booms
2
It won’t be pretty but it’s necessary if we want to build stronger more sustainable city’s for generations to come. We should have never become so car dependent but car manufacturers and oil barons did their best to get us where we are now.
2
Trains it is, that was easy.
2
@cdidplayerroblox have you heard of racetracks? You are free to go as fast as you would like without endangering others
2
Transport shouldn’t exist Checkmate ♟️

Like all changes, it must be done slowly over time, ideally they would eventually have no cars inside city limits and you would be able to get everywhere with public transit. Those traveling from outside bathe city would be able to park their cars at train stations on the outskirts of town. This would free up TONs of space inside the city now that parking lots, garages, and roads are no longer needed for cars.

As an American I can verify that most Americans have no idea how to drive lol

@cessposter an enthusiast I suppose lol

@cessposter I commute over an hour to work everyday, and have owned many different vehicles from sports cars to commuters, to trucks, and even motorcycles. Having to drive to get to even the most basic of needs is maddening
1
@cessposter Iv piloted almost every vehicle available, including airplanes, the bottom line is that individual transports is not and efficient way to move the entire population, especially when many of us are going to the same places. Especially when you factor in that most humans suck at driving, making the roads incredibly dangerous. We are not banning cars, just reducing them within cities, by providing safer and better alternatives such as walking, biking, and trains. If you love cars you will still be able to operate one in appropriate areas, where there is less danger to pedestrians.
1
@cessposter maybe in your country, but I believe much more will need to be done for the US, most of our people drive trucks and large suvs on their own accord, absolutely ridiculous. The main issues stem from the fact that there are no other forms of transport available, it’s cars or nothing really. (Cars including all motor vehicles that use the road) Investment in metros and HSR would make cars obsolete for many, greatly reducing the amount of them and in turn mostly solving the problem

Potentially, though most air pollution comes from power plants, for cleaner air vote for more nuclear power plants which are emissions free .
