If you didn't commit a crime or a murder you can and should speak to police all day long! They have to prove that you committed a murder! So this often used comment / statement is simply wrong! 🙂
Gods wise word the Bible says inter alia about this topic:
A kind man benefits himself, But the cruel person brings trouble on himself. 18 The wicked one earns deceptive wages, But the one who sows righteousness receives a true reward. The one standing firmly for righteousness is in line for life, But the one chasing after evil is in line for death. (Proverbs 11: 17)
And Jesus Christ said:
Continue being merciful, just as your Father is merciful.“Moreover, stop judging, and you will by no means be judged; and stop condemning, and you will by no means be condemned. Keep on forgiving, and you will be forgiven. 38 Practice giving, and people will give to you. They will pour into your laps a fine measure, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing. For with the measure that you are measuring out, they will measure out to you in return.” (Luke 6: 36)
The Police makes an IMMENSELY important job and they arrest evil humans and save the good humans who need help! That is why it is our duty to help them catching killers!

So we are under obligation to show hospitality to such ones, so that we may become fellow workers in the truth. (3.John 8)

And Jesus also said:
Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will get a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will get a righteous man’s reward. 2 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, I tell you truly, he will by no means lose his reward.” (Matthew 10: 41)
