  1. I'd take a used BMW 328i instead. There's your sport, fuel economy, affordability, refinement, reliability and comfort all bundled together. This Honda Hybrid will require major service on the battery system in the future and also would require timing and water pump service for the gas motor so whatever you stand to save in fuel costs you will just end up using those savings on repairs that wouldn't be needed on a gasser car.

  2. Well the Lexus IS is a great car and the 204HP is enough here in North America. When it comes to premium compact cars you can't really make a bad decision because they're all good. It seems automakers seem to go all out on their compacts because they know they will sell very well. I think I'd go with either a BMW 328i or MBZ C300.
