  2. Way too far off of the FT1 concept and on top of that it's a collaboration (more like a total copy) of a BMW Z4. Toyota has proven in the past they can make good performance cars that are reliable to boot. Why did they sell themselves short by not developing their own motor or own chassis when it came to such an iconic nameplate? And if they absolutely had to use a BMW motor why did they use the detuned version of the B58 as the new 340i produces around 374HP. People will say "well tune it" but that means a voided warranty and part of the price paid on a new car is for the warranty so why should I need to void my warranty to tune the engine to a power level it's already known to produce higher HP? This is a Toyota badged vehicle with none of the potential reliability they've proven they're capable of developing. Makes zero sense to me.
