  1. Tell that to the family members of the dead people. GM has taken your tax dollars (if you actually work and pay that), moved most of their manufacturing elsewhere in the world, have the most arrogant attitude when it comes to the execs and are now only making products that could compare to the old days and you stand by them? Had it not been for the stiff competition the Germans and Japanese are giving GM would never aim high and continue to make plastic crap. These cars are better now but that CUE sucks and all that shiny plastic will scratch, get finger printed and dusty quickly.

  3. SuperQuantumMechanic Republican bullshit hysteria. I like that one. GM is full of union thugs that want $40 an hour to screw on a nut. They took your tax dollars so a bunch of overweight fucks can make more money than you ever will have. Do you see the fairness in that? I guess the world needs sheep like yourself to keep things turning but I see things differently. We have enough laws protecting workers but GREED is the main thing here. The executives have their finances secure and the union thugs (employees) do too whiles you will have to worry whether you get a high enough pension check when the time comes even though you've spent 35 or so years paying into the system... Obviously other provisions need to be made but tell me how do you feel to know that your tax dollars helped make a bunch of incompetent fools rich?

  4. SuperQuantumMechanic  I work in the private sector and am not part of a Union. I'm doing just fine and people like myself command a lot more respect than those who are in a union. I get benefits and 3 weeks paid vacation every year and there are plenty of laws keeping me safe. I don't need someone fighting to increase my wages beyond what it's worth in the free market. Assembling cars is not worth more than $20 an hour for domestic automakers because the quality isn't up to part and more money is spent on keeping incompetent workers paid versus spending that on engineering brilliance. Look at Honda and Toyota, they are not unionized by the UAW/CAW and the quality of the environment is far better. Look at the Germans, amazing work ethic, morale and attention to detail. Keep up the pro union mentality, GM and the rest of the big 3 will say fuck it and move the entire operation down to Mexico and it'll serve you clowns right. Also, explain how the executives took their helping of the bailout money before putting it towards the company they nearly ran into the ground?

  5. BroccoliBeefed Exactly. Too many people out there making excuses for GM and I guarantee if a Japanese or German automaker made those mistakes the same idiots who defend GM would blast the other automakers. The only redeeming quality about older GMs is that they had a comfy ride.
