I wish more people thought like you. Right away people have the balls to say their Hyundai is better than MBZ, Audi and BMW just because their Hyundai is chocked full of tech one might not really use and those things don't really make the car better. I'd take a base Benz like this simply because of the solidity, safety, stellar ride and handling and refinement. Sure it will cost me a bit more in the long run but it'll be a nice ride for a very long time.

A sport package MB looks like it's for old people? Get your eyes checked. Also, the W204 scored above average for reliability and for a German car that's great. I see tons on the road and if they were crap that wouldn't be the case. Drive one, you'll appreciate the solid feel, stable ride, quiet highway ride and good noise isolation. The sport package models also handle quite well.

I think he did a fine job. He praised the power and feel of the car and whiles Japanese cars aren't as solid as German cars they are bulletproof reliable and that's the cold hard truth. MB has consistently been reliable since around 2007 after a dismal few years but nowhere near that of the Japanese cars. I'd still roll in a Benz though.

Haha yeah I don't get the point in bitching about it 3 or 4 times in one review. If you can afford a car like this then you can afford the option packages you like. Also, if you option it out with around $5000 worth of options and finance over 36 months you'll hardly feel the bite of the extra options. That's the only reason why Hyundai sells cars, they chock them full of electronics but forget that driving characteristics, solidity, comfort and quietness are also important aspects of a car. I rather a solid basic Benz vs. a decked out Hyundai because I value driveability and safety.

Well you do make a good point there. Certain German cars should be better in the reliability category but I honestly think (and this is in my personal experience) that German cars aren't as unreliable as many say and Japanese cars aren't as reliable as many claim especially the ones made after 2000 when cost cutting became prevalent.

I love these W204s. I test drove a W203 C280 and thought it was a great little premium car. Firm yet comfy ride, quiet, smooth engine and trans, overall good quality interior despite numerous quality issues and solid feel. I hope I can own a C300 in the near future.

You're the stupidest person on YT. Does the Camry have that solid feel when going down the road? Quality interior materials? Top notch safety ratings? A legendary design? NO. Have a shitload of tech inside the car won't make the engine run smoother, the handling better and the interior quieter. Idiot.

Blame the stupid US laws. I totally understand why the Europeans always comment on those lenses.

It seems as if owners of German cars have mixed reviews concerning reliability. The majority of W204 owners love the reliability of the car especially when compared to the W203. As for the higher up models some people say meh some say it was fantastic.

I guess that rule applies to the W204. I've seen W203 in a base model, elegance, avantgarde and then sport.

You can't make a bad decision with any of them as they're all good. All it boils down to is what exactly you want in a car. I think I'd take one of these or the 328i with SP.

Good luck finding parts and enjoy the horrible resale value. Owning a car from a defunct brand that has a reputation of being poorly managed especially in the GM era is hardly unique.
