  1. Honestly this whole fuel economy crap is going too far. Honda puts a peppy little motor in it but a crappy CVT. My Mom has a 2010 Sentra and that transmission is literally one of the worst things to be on a car. Sure it allows the engine to rev low on the highway but during acceleration it just revs and revs and takes a while to settle down.

  3. +Audioquest56 Any Japanese or Korean 4 cylinder is harsh and noisy. The only smooth I4 motor I've come across was the supercharged I4 in an older MB C230. The motor itself is a bit quirky but the refinement is there.

  4. Audioquest56 If they can get a 4 banger to run as smooth as the old VQ30 V6 in the Nissan Maximas that would be amazing. I had a 2000 Maxima SE and it was fantastic in that aspect. That motor probably turns smoother than the M272 V6 in my MB C300 especially at higher revs.
