@nf1369 What are you blabbering about? There is no documentation of that "test" you're stating and I would like to point out that it's a BMW engine... Toyota didn't test shit, it was the only I6 motor available so they could try to keep the new Supra as close to the Supras of the past but of course that's a major fail as it's not manufactured by Toyota. The B58 motor was in production before it was thrown into a Supra (any "40i" model variant of BMWs had this motor). Sure, it's tuner friendly just as the N54 and N55 motors but it's not a Toyota motor so really I can't figure out why they decided on using a German motor.

This car has been a half assed attempt at remaking the iconic Supra. It's basically a BMW through and through which wouldn't be a bad thing IF it were a BMW. The B58 motor can handle the power upgrades and with a bottom end re-work it will be able to do put out 1000HP no issue but in this case it's a BMW accomplishment, not Toyota. The Z4 40i would be the way to go.
