  1. Nope. Oil needs to be as thin as possible to flow everywhere (through turbos if equipped and into small oil passages) especially in cold weather but also lubricate. The viscosity itself is one thing but the additives within the oil are even more important as they do the heavy lifting when it comes to withstanding things like fuel dilution, heat/cold cycles, turbo heat and driving style.
