To be honest for $54k I'd spring for a CPO GL350 Bluetec and get proper 7 passenger carrying capability, a much nicer ride quality, quieter cabin and more luxury all around. Because the CPO will include extra warranty it's a great deal. Great review as always!

@Mctrician2 I've owned 2 Mercedes. They are a bit more pricey to maintain but I do most of the work myself or use an independent shop.

@Mctrician2 Well our GL550 is 13 years old and my C300 is 10 years old. Both run great. I even did the airmatic struts by myself but of course I took it to a shop for an alignment right after.

@Mctrician2 The motors in both of our cars are regular port injection so no carbon buildup. The newer ones get carbon buildup but nowhere near as bad as BMW or Audi. Easy $250 fix though at a shop and you can install a catch can afterwards if you want.
