  1. Mercedes S560 or S63 AMG are still the better choice. They still have hard buttons for the most commonly used features and the MB UX system is completely user friendly with great response. In addition to that, the MB motors run at 90 degrees celsius while BMW and Audi make their V8 motors run insanely hot to give 0.5MPG better which means bigger problems down the road. It's not uncommon to see Audi and BMW V8 motors running seriously high coolant and oil temperatures which causes a myriad of problems. If I'm paying for a car, I want to be driving it versus letting it sit in the shop for 3 weeks.

  2. Carbon ceramic brakes are not necessary. $1200 per axle on a full size German vehicle for pads and rotors is not bad at all. I can do 4 brake jobs for the price of the carbon ceramic option and the few extra feet of braking power won't justify the price. In addition to that they need to be heated up well before they work anywhere near like they're supposed to and the squeal like crazy.

  3. No full size German car has really ever been a manual. The E32 and E38 BMW 7 series had the odd manual available in Europe but only on I6 motor models.
