It's an old gussied up Tahoe. Nothing luxurious about it. Perhaps with the newest generation sure but the Escalade has always been an overpriced Tahoe/Suburban.

@ixx People are too hung up about name. One time some idiot crashed an old Infiniti G35 near my house and everyone was going about "oh it was probably daddy's money" when that car goes for less than $5k.

@FMChimera It’s built on a truck platform, has the same materials as a base Tahoe and same build quality. It’s not a luxury vehicle. A Mercedes S Class is a luxury car, a Lexus LS is a luxury car.

@FMChimera Mercedes is mid level? The S Class, for example, is the car many try to beat. BMW does luxury very well with sport. Jags are barely relevant at the moment. Their old XJs were great. Lexus does luxury well on their higher end offerings. How can you tell me this Escalade is luxury when Mercedes and BMW are mid level?

@R Robert Right but the reason I mentioned it was that this Escalade is basically a truck. At the least the newest ones are far more refined. At the least the other platforms you mentioned are modular and you feel the difference between models.

@BulkyHealthyCat Well the LS is quieter than an RR (Of course the RR still feels better as it should) and old LS models are super comfortable on the road and, unlike anything European, are still on the road with 300k.

@hunterkennedy4475 The new ones yes. The old ones like this one are crap inside. The only good thing is the 6.0 motor. Durable and powerful.
