  1. I used to be a fan of Subarus but they just don't cut it anymore. Oil consumption issues, CVT transmissions (with issues) and bland designs unfortunately outweigh the pros of this model along with other Subarus. For the price there is the Mazda CX9 AWD, Toyota Highlander, Honda Passport or Pilot, Nissan Murano (be mindful of CVT), Chevy Traverse, Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango, Kia Sorento or base Telluride, VW Atlas, Hyundai Palisade etc... I could keep going on but it's obvious there are better choices out there. No modern vehicle should consume oil unless they're high performance cars.
