  1. The previous generation had a horrible ride/handling combo and wasn't much to write home about since it had no independent rear suspension. Also, we used to have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and it too was a total POS. Hyundai makes nicely styled cars but as for their driveability and longevity I'm still not sold.
