@azera55555 Did you take into consideration the pollution produced to make those batteries and the stuff within it? What about disposing of them when they fail? Also, the electricity used to charge it was probably produced by fossil fuel or coal.

If you're going to drive a ton of miles per year then yes, it makes sense to pay more to purchase and maintain the 35d because you'll mitigate the extra cost with fuel savings but it only make sense for those who drive a lot of highway miles per year.
