I'm sick and tired of these new car transmissions. All of these gears that promise great performance but ultimately it's let down by bullshit software that makes the trans shift to the highest gear as fast as possible and makes the response really terrible because everyone is so obsessed with fuel economy. Acura had this issue with the 5 and 6 speed units which caused TC chatter because the vehicle speed was too low for the sudden change to the higher gear ratio. Same shit in the 7G tronic in my Mercedes, it shifts to 7th too fast and you have to STAB the throttle to get it to kick down. I always have to perform that ECU reset procedure so it gets responsive again.
