First off that's a BMW motor. BMW has been making I6 motors for decades. They're not returning, they're already there and Toyota in their stupidity and laziness went to BMW instead of reworking their existing 2JZ.

@xAfroMetalHead1990x Then don't do it at all. Just let the Supra name be as iconic as it was with the previous 4 generations that preceded this "Supra". There's no point to this car as it won't have any of the reliability Toyotas are known for plus there's nothing authentic about it. If I want German, I buy German and if I want Japanese, I buy Japanese. I don't want the two smushed together.

@davidbach7003 Which is fine because Yamaha works with many manufacturers and they're Japanese.

@Porsche1969 When did I say the BMW motor is bad? It just doesn't make sense to make such an iconic Toyota with no Toyota spec'd parts. If Toyota never made an I6 motor then I would understand but they have in several forms and all of them were brilliant so why go to BMW? It's a BMW Z4.
