I second that. Before the stupid RFTs, the turbocharging and bland styling. The E36 and E46 were amazing BMWs. They were tight, solid, great handling and had that simple yet substantial feel when driving them plus they were beautiful to look at.

Well your area isn't the entire world. I see idiot drivers in all sorts of cars all over the place and really I can't associate a brand with a bad driver. If you really think of it most drivers come and go along their way quite responsibly day in and day out in all sorts of cars, it's the odd bad few that stick out. My Mom has a 2009 Nissan Sentra, she's responsible and has been on the road 22 years with no accidents or tickets oh but I forgot Nissan driver suck right? The same way all BMW drivers are assholes and MB drivers are snobs. All I know is that I drive responsibly, I do drive spirited once in a while but when the area permits. I'll drive my bank vault of a car and take care of it and not care what others think, I don't associate with people who take an internet stereotype as Gospel, they're shallow.

$39k here in Canada. Not worth it new but as a CPO this will be a great quirky car.

Great review. I thought the seat was gonna come right off the rails at 3:30 haha.

Buying something like this stimulates the economy in more ways than one. It doesn't matter if the well heeled and even middle class people donate a ton of money to deprived nations, their Governments will eat it up and until they shape up the state of those countries won't get better no matter what we do.

Yeah. That feature started appearing on the old MB S Class coupes and BMW 8 Series. Other car manufacturers who used frameless windows on their models then followed with that but not until after 2000. I test drove a CLS 500 and it had that feature.

BMW boring? I think you need to drive one then see if it's boring. Any Mercedes Benz won't be as fun or as engaging to drive as a BMW or Audi but the big Benz is definitely the most comfortable of the bunch without lacking soul. Lexus on the other hand is boring, too smooth and quiet.

Bigger isn't necessarily better. The A4 accomplishes what it sets out to do just fine. This CC is a nice car though in all aspects. If bigger was better then vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade would dominate the roads even in places where it wouldn't be welcome like the UK.

And you drive a ________? All I was saying to that idiot was that the BMW 7 Series isn't boring and the Benz is aimed at being a comfy car but it DOES NOT lack soul. That's not saying anything bad you dumbass.

The Toyotas here in the North American market don't feel made to last, at least the newer ones. I test drove an 07 Camry V6 and although it had a good ride, plenty of space and power the interior materials were utter garbage. You could pull apart so much trim with your bare hands and there were some squeaks and rattles.

@mondeost2202008 Why does Merc do that? Is it done on purpose or a design flaw?

@4spdk They need to bring the bloody Mondeo here to North America. Everyone in Europe always talks so good about it I would love to give one a try.

It seems as if the Toyota destined for markets other than the North American one are built better. Hell a Toyota Corolla manufactured here in Canada you can pull apart so much trim with your bare hands inside and it's all cheap plastic.

I bet you get good marks in her class and always pay attention :)

I love Mercedes Benz cars but I can tell you that they're not reliable especially early to mid 2000s models. We had a W203 C320 and it drove great and was rock solid going down the road but it was totally unreliable. Multiple problems with the telematics, stereo, squeaks/rattles, infamous radiator issue, defective front struts and I could go on and on. Also W220s were the most unreliable S Classes made, the W116, W126 and W140 were far better in that respect.
