I love this series because of the history of the vehicle and the owners and how Larry approaches each detail differently based on what needs to be accomplished. That's the beauty of the detailing world, it's dynamic in what products you choose, what methods to use and working on just about everything you can get your hands on.

I like Larry's individualized approach to each detail. Detailing a work truck will be different than detailing a barn find or an exotic car for a museum.

Yeah go ahead and do that. Before they take it back in they're gonna ding you for every single piece of wear and tear on the car ESPECIALLY if you didn't take the excess wear package.

Great job as always Larry and team. The W140 Benz will always be one of my favorites. Rock solid, great looks, comfy interior and the ride was incredible on the highway.

Are you one of those nosy neighbors that wear tin foil hats that say the most retarded things? A loose or missing nut in one small part of your motor is quite hard to detect. What do you propose he should have done? Pull the motor apart at home first before taking it into the shop? YT really brings out the stupids.

Great video. Practical information and high quality product.

Ughh I could only imagine how bad this Tahoe smelled when getting into it on a hot day. Excellent work as always.
4
You've found a good balance between living a structured life and still having fun while doing so.

I love how many iconic cars are in there but this comes off more hoarding versus collecting. These cars are just rotting away in there and will need quite a bit of work to get them going again. It's like the US Navy reserve fleet, good intentions maybe but in the end just a bunch of old rusting ships that will never sail under their own power again.

Leasing makes a ton of sense in that segment. My Uncle recently returned his lease on a 2013 BMW 750i M Sport and good thing because those N63 motors are absolute junk in the long term. Runs great when it works like it should but everyday that was a gamble whether there would be an issue or not.

I feel like many cars from the 90s to the mid 2000s aged so well. Plenty of Japanese and German cars whose designs lasted the test of time.
3
Good video. One thing I do is hang the mats up inside the garage to dry because the last time I left them outside to dry some birds decided to poop on them.
3
@NoPrivateProperty Matt's worked very hard over the years despite being born into money.
3
Great stuff as usual. It seems like all that dirt and dust somewhat protect the vehicle as they come back very well.

So the service life of the plane is 4000 hours? That's not much.

14:38 gotta love the solid door "thunk" when shutting it.

Lol and agitates the soap with a goats hair brush. Jokes aside he does a hell of a good job and blows any other car detailer here on YT out of the water. I've gotten out of automotive detailing because of a bad back but it's enjoying to see people so passionate about cars.

+Jason L The bushings on the control arms. Sometimes if they're poly or rubber bushings they could be damaged by the rust proofing.

Did you injure your knee?

Great video. My home garage is somewhat messy and I know where things are but these guys have a whole different approach. These guys definitely show pride in their work.
1
Hard to believe this car was new at some point given how nasty it is. "Nasty" doesn't even come close to describing this car. Great video AMMO.

24:59 love the plate

Yeah I like using soapy water as a clay lubricant. It, weirdly enough, seems more fun and satisfying to use.
1
I thought I detailed my car thoroughly but man you take it to a whole new level of epicness. I'm learning a ton and will look into purchasing some of your products!

To think I used to drink 2 liters of Pepsi daily for 6 years makes me shudder. Look at what it can do to rusty wheels and I was guzzling that stuff down.
1
7:25 dad joke alert! Love this transformation. These Toronados and Studebaker Avantis are some of my favorite cars from the 60s.
1
So you want him to give you an answer but you tell him he talks too much. That makes sense...
1
Really dude? He lives on the East coast in the US and they get hammered with snow/sleet/ice in the winter. He's made winter wash videos.
1
This is a straight up resurrection. Amazing work.
1
Haha I love the thumbnail. Gotta get the You Tube style thumbnail going especially if Matt Farah is part of all of this.
1
I knew Larry would love how neat the electrical work is.
1
Hmmm I'm gonna get some of that Brute soap for my wheels. I hate the brake pads Mercedes Benz uses because they dust the rim up really bad and I end up spending 20 minutes alone just cleaning the wheels when doing my wash. I definitely need a quicker solution.
1
8:00 I didn't know that. I figured that in a dry hot environment the ceramic coat would dry faster. You learn something new every day.
1
At least this Karen wasn't a "Karen" if you know what I mean.
1
Barn finds are like the best treasure ever.
1
Will be doing this in the spring. My car is 10 years old and not rusty surprisingly but underneath can use a good pressure wash, cleaning and protecting on the metal bits. I did notice the buildup underneath when swapping over to my winter tires so once the weather improves this is priority number 1.
1
I can understand dirt, dust and grime building up but all the trash I can't get.
1
Lots of old restored 70s and 80s Japanese cars are all over.
1
The Lawyer has old man strength.
1
I love how you have detailing down to a science and an art.
1
I vacuum, wipe down and treat the interior of my car once per month. I keep a microfiber towel in the glove compartment and just quickly dry wipe the dust off the dash especially if I had the windows down. The odd cup or piece of clothing is what I remove. How did anyone let it get this bad when it doesn't take much time to properly clean a car.
1
Stupid kids with stupider parents who want to be their friend vs. actually parenting. They're the type of kids you hear cussing up a storm on CoD and threatening to kill you in real life over a bloody game.
1
Nice video although it makes me cold just to watch it lol.
1
Loved this episode.
1
Matt's right. When I wash and detail my car it seems to drive nicer for some reason. Same feeling when I just do a service on it. Drives better.
1
What are you talking about? People are in detailing because of the money but of course they're passionate about cars as well. This guy in the video, like others, are obviously making money doing what they do otherwise they wouldn't do it. BTW a detail shop near my house has contracts with multiple dealerships, they're in the money don't you think?
1
Why are you speaking as if everyone thinks in the way that you do? There is no one right or wrong way to lease or own a car and just because other people see it as an expensive rental and thrash the car during the lease term there will be the type that does not. Besides, the dealership can ding you big time if the car has excess wear and tear at lease end and that would have to be paid. You claim "who is going to be paying someone else to do this work". Well my response to that would be why are automotive detailers in such high demand? At certain high volume or high end detail shops in my area you can schedule an appointment 1 to 2 weeks in advance. That's how busy they are so it seems to me a ton of car owners are paying other people to do this type of work.
1
It is hard work. I'm kinda tired after working on my own car and pacing myself lol but that's where that passion for cars and the trade in general come into play.
1
Dumbass owners I swear but then again if it keeps productive members of society like yourself employed then more power to you. Excellent video.
1
Oo another Ammo video. Going to grab a snack then watch!
