@toddhaynes7145 If you need an 8 passenger then a midsize SUV might not be a good choice. Go get a minivan or a full size vehicle like a GMC Yukon SLE trim which has 8 passenger seating. It's better to seat 6 or 7 people in comfort versus squishing all of the second and third row occupants.

Great review! Just one thing. Couldn't BMW just develop an app to use with your phone if you wanted to use the features on the key fob? I mean Ford and Hyundai execute it just fine. That key fob is huge. Having that key fob, a smartphone and my wallet in my pockets will feel weird.

MB kind of messed up with not offering a Blutec diesel option. I mean the majority of the previous generation ML and GLE were spec'd out with the 3.0 diesel V6 so why they wouldn't offer it this time around is a bit beyond me. Excellent review!

From a driveability standpoint Cadillacs are great but they're plagued with electrical issues and GM as a whole has one big parts supply issue. If anything goes wrong on a newer Cadillac the parts will be on back order and you'll be stuck in a rental for a long period of time. Now the fact they're giving you a rental is nice but you're still paying for a car that's sitting in the shop. Makes no sense.

Honda has long been known for being reliable and easy to maintain but man are they dropping the ball. Fuel dilution from either bad piston ring design, bad injector design or faulty programming isn't normal. What these manufacturers are defining as "normal" is ridiculous. If my 8 year old Mercedes (the not so reliable choice) doesn't do the things this CRV is doing then there is no way in hell Honda is doing a good job. Too bad loyal customers are getting shafted out of their money.

The standard motor is good but will struggle when the vehicle is loaded with people, their stuff and the A/C is on. A 330HP TT motor would be nice and might even get better fuel economy as it's not working as hard.

@robmalcolm8042 We have multiple Ford F150s with the EcoBoost V6 in them and all are pushing 200k with no major issues. One blew a turbo seal and one had some injector issues but they were clearly defined and easily fixed. I will admit simpler is better but a lot of times it's lack of maintenance that cause issues.

@robmalcolm8042 Time will tell though there are quite a few examples. Usually things like transmissions or other driveline components along with suspension parts will go first and people will sell the vehicle by the time they hit that mileage. At worst turbo seals or the wastegates may need replacement but the turbo itself will be fine.

@ChrisBerg-Tesla So why are you giving the uploader the thumbs down? That's like yelling at an employee at a store when there is no stock of an item. Not their fault. The V6 option is not available ATM and don't speak for all customers. Power is nice but putting down the available power in a smooth manner along with a good suspension and solid feel overall appeal to luxury buyers as well. In most driving scenarios a 4 cylinder engine is just fine especially when good sound deadening is used and the turbo can put the power down at a lower RPM. As a matter of fact, the 3.6 V6 can sound more strained at full throttle than a boosted 4 but it comes down to how refined it's designed to be.
