  1. The W211 is my favorite E Class. Modern but with all of the traits of the older MBs. Great solid feel (doors sound great when closed shut), handles great even without the airmatic and rides firm enough to know what the car is doing but soft enough so it's pleasant. Great cabin too.

  2. I fell in love with the W140s in the 90s. Today I feel the same way about them. Timeless luxury sedans.

  5. From a golden era. Naturally aspirated, torquey, smooth and reliable above all. I love closing the door on the old Benzes, they sound like bank vault doors. An engine today has 2 turbochargers, a supercharger, electrification and is programmed to run very hot for fuel economy purposes all while running fuel economy 0W20 oil. Yeah, we won't be watching a You Tube video of that car on the Autobahn in 42 years.
