  1. That's why I ended up buying a Hyundai Genesis Ultimate with the 5.0 V8. Burns more fuel and isn't as powerful but NONE of the problems these TT V8s are giving. Parts for the Hyundai are about 50% to 70% less too.

  2. I don't know what BMW was thinking when they made this engine. It drinks oil BUT they said you can change the oil once per year or 15k miles. It got so bad BMW themselves told owners to keep a couple bottles of oil in the trunk. That combined with running ridiculously hot and using plastic cooling lines all over no wonder these motors failed so much.
