  2. Regular oil changes will be one of the best things you can do for your car. It can be the cheapest oil that's approved for your engine just as long as you change it regularly. We have a 16 year old Sentra and I recently did the valve cover gasket and when I pulled the cover off the top of the motor was squeaky clean. Cam was barely worn and there was no sludge. I just throw in whatever oil is on sale and use an OEM filter but I make sure to change it regularly.
