  1. Never clear HOW you get your participants. These are a collection of "low-aspiration" individuals. They just exist rather than desire to excel. The life goals are to just "ride out" their existence. But none have aspirations. Put another way, they will never go back to the US because they will never succeed in the US (and are happy to merely dwell in Japan). Japan is a wonderful place to HIDE from reality, responsibility, etc. But nothing comes FROM Japan (any longer). Japan is not on the cutting edge of anything. So... it would be interesting for you to FIND Americans (in Japan) that are executives or entrepreneurial CEOs. Short Version: I don't think you can find them. They are in the USA.
