  20. It sounds bad but the conflict has been great in exposing the dishonesty of the West with the machinations of the Minsk Agreement, which the West had no intention of honouring. Do you think that they would have honoured this March 2022 Agreement either? The cost has undoubtedly been high for all involved but it has crystalised the situation and in many respects precipitated the demise of the West and precipitated the introduction of the multi-polar world which in the long run will prove to be a very good thing.

Funnily enough many of the trucks and other military equipment sent to them were sold to the country's enemies and other groups, sound familiar?

In spite of that with little more than shovels, they have successfully taken Bakhmut, stopping the random shelling of civilians from that city, and in the process virtually destroyed the Ukrainian army. That could legitimately be called a successful Winter Campaign.

  32.  @christinehomer2185  That's an interesting comment in that it is very similar to what happened in Taiwan/Formosa circa WWII. Madame Chiang Kai-Shek the wife of the president of the island did a big tour of the US at the time holding big dinners and balls as donation dos and getting lots of money and equipment donated. As you can imagine most of the money 'disappeared' into their personal bank accounts and much of the equipment was sold, a lot to their so called 'enemies of Formosa' and once again the money disappeared. So yes very possible. Funny how the same trick is successfully used time and time again by corrupt politicians.

  33. Don't think Russia wants anything to do with western Ukraine, they do not see themselves as Russians. Cut that area up and give it to their neighbouring countries so it cannot form up again (there are many west Ukrainians who would rather be with Romania, Hungary or Poland) and the look after the remaining 2/3 in the east who are Russian and wish to be a full part of Russia. Happy outcome for all.
