  1. It wasn't the poms that sold out Rhodesia it was the yanks. They needed Rhodesian chrome ore for their war effort and the only other place they could get it at the time was Russia, so that wouldn't fly. They took as much of the chrome as they needed and stockpiled it and once they had what they wanted they cut Rhodesia loose and effectivelystabbed them in the back.
