Interestingly after WW II the Germans were asked how come they let the brownshirts take over in 1933 which led them down such a destructive path, perhaps the same should be asked of them now. Desperation and dispair would be good reasons for 1933, but in the 2000s? Stupidity, comfort, laziness???
