  1. Even if they did in desperation go that way, the volume of gas that would be delivered would be way down as it is now being sold to China et al. When they didn't activate the pipeline they lost the rights to the full gas volumes that came with it. Also, haven't they 'seized' Gazprom's header works in Germany making it a 'no go' as well?

  4. Siemens is a partner in NS 1 and as such agreed tp provide the pumping technology for the line, including servicing the turbines and other equipment, that is why they are involved. Being an international company Siemens has branches all over the world to carry out specialist work and in this instance it is located in Canada, turdland. Of course the Russians have their own turbines and pumping stations, they have had for year, how do you think their other gas pipelines run, however in this instance it is a function of the consortium members who built and operate NS 1 and their ongoing undertakings for its safe operation.
