  1. Excellent comment, just as I thought. I too left the corporate life and went farming for 16 years before retiring, it was the best thing I ever did for the lifestyle, family and myself. What we did mattered, and now we have some great memories of our pets, friends, local towns and the countryside that will always be with us. Too few people can say that and we have a lot of friends who are very envious of what we did but at the time said we were mad to do it! A very good friend of mine sold his advertising business to go farming and he is loving it. Anybody thinking of it, go for it, yes it is all your eggs in one basket, but as Warren Buffett says, that's how he does it, he just watches that basket very carefully.
