  1. The Pacific islands are bottomless pits for handouts, this China will discover. In going into Africa, China has done some good things but have also exploited the resources very aggressively making an even worse mess to the environment than western companies, which are pretty bad. In Zimbabwe they are mining for chrome et al in Bulawayo and in the process have destroyed the local manufacturing industry and the countryside. Nobody is as clean as the driven snow when it comes to overseas investments and developments.
