Many people don't appreciate that if it wasn't for the British a number of tribes in South Africa wouldn't exist today. When she speaks about 'genocide' that is what the Zulu were practicing in Natal as they moved south, wholesale slaughter of tribes effectively wiping the identity off the face of Africa. The British, in their clashes with Shaka's Zulu warriors, effectively stopped that. A women of the Fingo tribe living in the Eastern Cape once said that if they had not stopped them, her tribe, and hence her, would no longer exist.
The same happened in New Zealand where maori tribes were constantly fighting each other with cannibalism and slavery a common theme, by signing an Agreement with the British Crown, Treaty of Waitangi, this was stopped and the genocide that was the eradication of the moriori tribe by maori was not repeated.
Two small but significant examples of the benefits of English colonialism. It should be noted the the greatest genocides have always been perpetrated by rules on their own people, generally in the name of communism, Pol Pot, Chairman Mao and the Ukranian Holodomour to name a few.
Edit:- It is also worth noting that the esteemed economist, Dr Thomas Sowell, said that it cost England more to keep the colonies than what England derived in economic benefits, the huge investments in infrastructure and technlogy transfers were incredible, not to mention that it was the British that stopped the slave trade, an action that nearly bankrupted the country due to the compensation payments that were made along with the military actions with the navy preventing the shipment of slaves.

Difficult one, UK built many things in India to the benefit of the country, roads, dams, schools, universities, railways, airports, courts, water and sewerage trestment, sea ports et al. These are worth far more than £60 trillion you are talking about and have been invaluable to the country as it placed them ahead development wise of many others in the region and India has taken advantage of this situation and built on it.
Conversely USA has destroyed the countries that they have moved into, attacked or bombed with a view to destroying them and so compensation is valid.

@mph5896 Geez, your management in the US never changes does it, no wonder you guys are heading down the toilet, not saying you don't deserve to either.
Many years ago I worked in sales for a very large overseas based US company, went to them after 3 1/5 years and asked for a raise based on my performance. They said no, just cost of living increase, which was about 2%. I pointed out that I had increased their sales from 50% to 95% market share and improved their GM at the same time, still said no, told me I was an expense and not an asset.
Told them to stick their job where the sun don't shine and went to work in an allied part of the industry with a company that paid me 40% more! Old company took 10 weeks to replace me with a useless salesman, lost their market share down to 40% in 12 months.
Expense and not an asset my a&$e, in a service industry if the people left he wouldn't have a business.

At the very least their initial discussion did not sound like schoolboy locker-room banter about taking shirts off. In terms of the number of women in G7, let alone heading up so any organisations now, many were brought in for diversity reasons, women holistic, caring, understanding, human, etc, etc, they are not up to the task. Never has there been more trouble, less careing and more sabre rattling going on than with them being involved. Truss wants to 'press the button' and annihilate everyone and von der Krazy wants everyone, except herslef, to freeze and starve.

Good points, the former, economic, was perhaps the most important as at that time Russia had no answer should the septics cut 5hem off from the Swift banking system. Russia needed to line its ducks up and make provision for this and any other economic events that could be applied, such as sanctions, as well as building up relationships with future allies, BRICS, BRICS+, OPEC+ etc.
Interesting that in this instance it was Afghanistan that was bleeding the septics and nato while the Russians were preparing and when the former realised that things were going to get hot in Ukraine in 2022, they dumped Afghanistan pdq.
Just goes to illustrate that those running these shows, MIC, banksters and multinational organisations, really don't give a dam about the citizens.

When I was young in England, open fire in lounge, quite warm, nothing in rest of house. If it got very cold, we would light the kerosene heaters, otherwise just move faster! Hot water was there but wasn't wasted, couldn't afford to. Coal stove in classroom, had to put coal in on a regular basis, classroom was an old WW2 hut, no insulation so could be chilly first thing in the morning, hot in summer. Live with it.

@gangleweed I left in 1973 for the same reason, no future. Interesting the different values and action of the natives and you really need to be careful putting them all in the same basket. Virtually all are tribal, slthough that may not refer to their roots, those that have succeeded are prepared to work and do get shead, the problem is the rest get envious and steal it from them. Some are very sneaky and dishonest, but then you could say that of many groups of people throughout the world, others are just bone idle, don't want to work but won't cause any trouble.
It is the corruption at the leadership level that is the problem and they have had that for years right back to when they would raid neighboring ttibes to get slaves to sell to the slave traders.
With all of that said, remember that it took the Britons some 200 years after the Romans left to get their act together, start appreciating what the Romans had left them, roads, scholls, aquaducts, buildings, counting etc and make good on them. So there's lots of time to go.

Stripping it down to its absolute basics as you have done, what you say is essentially true. However the scarcity value of metals of all types gives them an intrinsic value to them based on who makes use of them, e.g. gold for computers, silver for PVs, copper for wiring and motors, aluminium for cables and windows, zinc for metal castings etc., etc. So as Mario says the value created by them is a function of their usefulness, if you have no need for them, they have no value, however if you held some copper and somebody wants some as is prepared to pay you with eggs, you are back to a value!

Interesting, we are constantly being told that women are as good as men and that no special treatment should be given to them as they are equals, aye to that if it is truly the case. However, there appear to be an increasing number of cases where women are not up to the task and are blaming their biological differences and hence implying that they should get special treatment.
Firstly if you are incompetent in your work, regardless of your sex, you should be fired, secondly if you have a health problem, again, regardless of you sex, you should seek help. Blaming your incompetance on someone or something else and not expecting to be held accountable for it, is immoral, unfortunately there are too many people in positions of power today that lack any morals whatsoever.

@mast3rchief536 This is a difficult one, there are times when you need friends and times when you need just you. At age 19 I left the country that I was living in to look for better opportunities, leavings all of my friends behind. Best thing that I ever did, changed my life's direction for the better.
Had a situation where it all went to custard due to a relationship breakdown, walked away completely again to find myself and re-focus my life and work.
Painfully but a great outcome and 40 years later happy with the outcome. Friends are great, but so e want to hold onto the past too much, they don't want to take the next step, too happy in what they are doing. That's fine but you are the captain of your own ship and you must steer your own course, that may result in the loss of some of your friends as I did but all of my real friends understood and stayed with me, just as I hoped.
So, take the path less worn and enjoy the trip no matter how scary it is at times, life is a journey, not a destination.

@Beer_Dad1975 All of our Subarus were pre 2010, wouldn't go near the later models with the CVTs, electric handbrakes, stop/start rubbish. Around about the time of the XV they lost their way and thought they knew what customers wanted without asking them.
In OZ the Subaru Brumby and Outbacks had legendary status for ruggedness and reliability, and there is quite an established industry there to keep them going, used to get parts from them.
Whether driving around the city or up the mountain in locked 4WD to go snow skiing, the cars never let us down, the EA81 engine converted to fuel injection and with electronic ignition never missed a beat, 10,600 feet, not a problem.

@jockmoron I hear what ypu are saying, however I also remember the pre 1984 Rogernomics nad the stupidity of government, cars cost more than a persons annual salary, and I'm not talking flash cars, a mini was around $2,250 and my pad at the time was $1,475 pa. Power was cheap as was milk but taxwas stupid at 66c in the dollar max and then there were the retail taxes of 40% on stereo equipment, boat parts etc. It took me 6 weeks to get a business telephone line once, despite giving them 3 months notice, when they decided to come in the rigged us up a temporary line that sat on the floor in the middle of the office! Thats how slack telecom was and yet you paid them an arm and a leg. Also stupid little things such as having to register a model aircraft transmitter with the post office!
The bureaucrats had a fine old time with all of the protectionist rackets that were running on imports and exports, I knew of one company with political connections that had many exclusive import licenses that they used to bring in fine goods, marked them up 100% to get to 'wholesale' and then another 100%for retail! How do you think all the posh houses were built in remmers pre 1985?
The dairy board used to live like kings in their protected business environment and could buy anything they wanted for themselves and did.
It is important to remember that around 1984 NZ was technically bankrupt on this command and control government that Muldoon was running, we really had no choice. The problem has been the ongoig execution of the strategy which David Lange stopped, if they had run it through properly I'm not sure so many of the imbalances would have happened. The liberalisation helped me and a few of my enterprising friends to make successes of ourselves and this benefited NZ on the way through employment, taxes and exports, over the years the latter would have been in the region of $10 mil.
Like many things, it is a double edged sword, that is why good leadership for the benefit of the country is essential, unfortunately we have too many incompetent ideologues in central and local government screwing it up and putting the brakes on things. When farming the degree of stupidity from these people left me breathless at times and the financial and individual resource wasted was incredible. Still going on today, they couldn't run a bath let alone an enterprise.

@nakshatraroy7442 I dunno, look at the people of Maruipol, if they had the opportunity they would have strung up those soldiers that came out of the steelworks, the DNA protected them. The same for the people of Odessa, what these neos did there was terrible and so when Russia gets there there will be some serious payback. Remember that these brave neos have been happily shelling civilians in their villages for 8 years and killed some 14,000 people, they are not viewed favourably by the citizenry. When you look at Vietnam when the North entered there you would have thought, based on the propaganda of the time, that they wouldn't be welcome and a counter insurgency would develop, whereas nothing of the sort happened. That's because the locals were fed up with the corruption in the south engendered by their leaders and the septics.
When Rome fell it was the middle classes that opened the gates to the invaders on the basis that they wanted the corrupt senate gone and given what they had suffered from the corruption, the invaders couldn't be any worse. And such proved to be the case.
I think you will see the same here when the corruption that is currently rife in Ukraine, and affected the general population the most, is stopped, most will give their support to the new system.

When you have a bad experience generally you are supposed to learn from it, change and grow from the experience and become a better you. However, if, as many people do today, you blame everybody else for the experience and don't learn from it, soon after another very similar one will come along to test you. Hence if you choose to not learn and grow it will keep hitting you and thus it feels like life is getting at you rather than realising you can stop it immediately by facing and handling it.
Been there, done that, got the battle scars from it bur recovered quite well, learned a lot and at 70 years of age and after 40+ years of marriage, it's pretty good. Life's a journey, not a destination, the more you experience it the more it can hurt, people, loves, children friendships, pets all make it worthwhile.

@markm2092 Yes and no, it depends on what measurement you are using. If you speak generally then perhaps yes, but specifically, generally no.
The mortality rate of any countries in Africa is now worse than before, I know people hated apartheid and I was no fan of it, but the average life expectancy of the people was the highest in Africa and was approaching first world levels, there were hospitals, railways, universities that had world class standards, a power grid that worked all the time, potable water from dams and taps, food that could be eaten, remember that Zimbabwe was the bread basket of Africa. Those were just a few of the advantages that were squandered by the ruling elites and government officials through their corrupt business practices.
Botswana did a great job, Sir Seretse Khama was a great leader who was pragmatic and ran the country for the benefit of its people not himself and that is why they were, and are, so successful. Compare that to Zimbabwe's leaders who used to commandeer the Air Zimbabwe airlines aircraft to fly to Europe to go gambling, taking no account of the passengers or the important export airfreight that may have been on board!
Mortality now is now at a third world level and the infrastructure, most of which was first class when they gained independence, has been let go and is now run down. Compare this to India where they held onto all of theirs, worked hard to maintain it and have successfully begun to improve it, same opportunities.
You must remember that at the time of colonisation the world was a very different place and even in England times were tough with children of 8 or 9 years working with their parents in the coal mines, starting at 5 am and finshing at 8 pm, not seeing any sunshine and that is why rickets were so bad, never mind miner's lung. The cotton mills weren't much better. Based on Gandhi's experience of England, he felt that in some respects the English treated their own people worse than the colonials!

@malkomalkavian Not surprised, it was bad when I lived in UK in 1959, lots of fogs, smogs and cold, damp houses. The fact that children are being coddled inside in front of TVs and computer screens with some being actively discouraged from going out and playing because they may 'hurt' themselves (the big female 'protection' thing going on atm), exacerbates the situation.
No doubt those children of darker skins will be affected even more given their lower level of vitamin D production from their skin and low light levels. I understand that they are even experiencing this in Australia with this 'cover up at all costs' protection racket. An irony that could come from this is that there could be more death and health problems coming out of this than what came from exposing them to the sun.
In Africa as a boy we all played outside from dawn to dusk, came home when we were called in, had dinner and then slept really well. No wonder the continent progressed through a real go getting generation, now the women want zero road deaths, zero construction deaths, zero forestry deaths etc., while at same time aborting 15 million children a year. The logic is where? Go figure.

@danielgoulyk That's very perceptive of you, they aren't called 'the quiet achievers' for nothing. Yes those making all the noise get all the attention because people are distracted by them, they rely on this when they get into work situations and because they haven't actually done the work they filched it from someone else and then shout loudly about how well they did it all, with a little help of course. This means that they get all the glory and the real worker/s, who are the valuable contributing people, get overlooked and then leave, to your loss.
So, yes remember that when you have employees, acknowledge and reward the real producers and keep the big mouths under control, you still need them but make them very aware of the fact that you know what type of person they are and will not stand for free riding on others work.
Been there done that in corporate, I estimated at the time that 40% of my day was spent playing office politics, what a waste of time, but that's how those with the big mouths get ahead by manipulation.

No point in hating yourself bud, just screws you over mental and energy wise. Being unhappy is understandable for you because then you can work out what makes you unhappy and you can deal with it.
Very few people are truly 'happy', whatever that means, there is a parable where a King was once asked that given his wealth, power, looks and influence surely he was a happy man? The king replied that he numbered 3 the days when he was truly happy!
There live 2 wolves within us, one is 'happiness' and the other is misery, the one that grows is the one you feed the most with your thoughts, so think and feed wisely.
Not saying its easy, fight it out every day, but sure the hell beats out a completely miserable life.
Go well.

The poms were kicked out in 1962 after helping to develop SA to a stage where it could operate and develop on its own, remember all of the infrastructure they created, railways, schools, universities, hospitals, airports, roads, government buildings and administration which placed SA in a great position to go ahead.
From there it was in the hands of the Afrikaaners and Broederbund so everything after that was up to them.
As to the statement that the US was interfering in SA, you are spot on, been going on for years at the highest level with CIA Air America openly active during the times of conflict especially in Caprivi and out west where the diamonds were.

Nothing good or productive comes from government, only waste. When has any government come up with something new or good? It is always the private individual that does so, as long as government, bureaucrats and technocrats stay out of the way.
War is incredibly inflationary, lots is produced but none of it is productive, that is why inflation was so high during the Vietnam war.
The American system is incredibly corrup, financially, ethically and morally with useless, non-productive people at the top being paid huge, completely unjustified salaries which they do not deserve, $2 million for a university chancellor, give me a break.

@orphanedpotatolord Not too sure about that, suggest you read General Pattons take on the war, he is quoted as saying " we were fighting the wrong people", and President Kennedy who also wrote about it, much in the same vein.
As Napolean said, and evidently Hitler subscribed to it, "History is written by the victors" and if you undertake some reading, as above, and some additional research into what really happened rather than the current narrative, I think you will find you will have very different feelings about this.
It is a very interesting journey, enjoy.

Their 'achievements', pushing race based politics, spending like drunken sailors and growing the bureaucracy by about 30% without improving any delivery of services from them. In other words, nothing constructive.
Interestingly enough, they brought to new new low the status of polticians and senior bureaucrats in that far from being 'honest, open and transparent, accountable, nice and understanding' as promised, they have been the slimyest, most dishonest, unaccountable, closed, disingenuous and thieving bunch ever.

We have a 2015 Countryman 1600cc auto, 33k kms, bought second hand for a fun drive, not our main car. Have not had any problems except for the leaking windscreen washer motor which had a crack and leaked. Stupid price for a replacement so super glued it, voila, problem solved and it works fine, amazing how much bodywork had to be removed to get to it, bloody ridiculous!
Car runs well and as you say is fun to drive, however I make sure the oil is changed regularly and is up to spec, synthetic, no cheap mineral stuff.

Am just reading the book 'Hidden History - the secret origins of the first world war' and what is most interesting are the parallels between then and now. The hidden English 'elite' group in the background garnering money from lots of small war but not pushing too hard because Queen Vic being German did not want a war with Germany so they had to wait until she died. Then it was full speed ahead to create offensive and defensive alliances to isolate Germany actively led by the English king resulting in the debacle of 1914-1918 and the delaying of Germany's economic and commercial expansion for a number of years. Queen Elizabeth has passed, the new king has been sucked into the same vortex of the ever prexent secret elite that is running the show, sure isn't the elected government, this time pushing the strident anti Russia and China theme, which by the way was also a WW1 theme!, actively aided and abetted this time by the USA. All the same games are in play, jingoism, false news reports, dishonesty, and their favourite, outright lies.
A book well worth reading if you can get it.

Question is, with all of their 'intelligence' networks, how could they appear to get it so wrong, or is this resource being used to spy on and control their own people rather than looking after the people's interests as they claim? Anyone with half a brain, or has lived in a sanctioned country, knows that sanctions frequently make them stronger which is in direct contrast to their intent. Did nobody notice how quiet Russia went after the 2014 coup in Ukraine when a whole lot of sanctions were piled on them and then the actions they were taking, gold reserves, cutting down on dollars, own swift interbank system, own credit cards, new treaties with key strategic partners, self reliance on food, strategic materials, ramped up industrial manufacturing on key equipment like aero and marine engines?
Geez, it was as plain as the nose your face, they were just getting ready for thiis. So why the surprise?

@helenegan1079 Actually I have read, and experienced, a lot of history and am aware of a lot more than many other indoctrinated woke warriors out there.
Sure Russia is not as clean as the driven snow, no country is, however you need to look behind the curtain and see who was pulling the strings. The people that overthrew and killed the Czar and his family in 1917 and then ran the USSR until it failed, were not Russians, they were Bolsheviks, very different people.
Do some research as to where they came from, what they did and where they are now, read between the lines of history, don't believe the propaganda, and you will get a very interesting insight into what is happening now and an appreciation as to why.

@Maibeth-t2m There were no farmers in Rhodesia prior to 1890, there were just tribal hunter/gatherers led by local tribal 'kings'. Each tended to just move where there was food and occasionally attack other tribes to steal food w9men and slaves from them, it was a very cruel existence. Many were very happy when David Livingston arrived and stopped the slave trade, there are rumours that the Zimbabwe Ruins were built by arab slave traders as a base specifically for that purpose.
In 100 years Rhodesia went from that situation to a thriving modern country with schools, electricity, roads, housing, hospitals, high rise buildings where the life span of its black people doubled and nobody was hungry to one where all of that infrastructure is decaying with virtually all those gains being lost and most people are hungry and struggling to survive. If it weren't for all the hard working Zimbabweans who went overseas for work and sent money home, the situation would be far worse.
Essentially the people at the top have resorted to tribalism once again and we all know who benefits from that and who pays for it.
Zimbabwe, absolutely wonderful country, with fantastic people and more than enough for everybody, screwed over by their leaders who are supposed to be there to look after them, such a pity.

@tsmith0187 Yes and no, their way of doing it is to try to change the existing system through unrest but if that doesn't work then revolution is a given, it's in their manifesto. However, what they found when they carried out the Russian revolution is that it is messy and you can lose so much in the productive value in the war, internal war is not good for banker's business as it destroys the country's value.
When Czar Nicholas told the bolshevik bankers that he did not want them to run Russia's banking system he knew that he was signing his death warrant as it was them who financed and drove the revolution.
After WWII these same bankers looked at the US as a target and started to do their work there but in a way that they could garner control and financial control without destroying the country, they had learned the trick from the last time. The last of these guys were thrown out of Russia and that is why they are so anti Russia, they thought they could rape and pillage both countries simultaneously, however this has not been the case hence Ukraine to cause trouble to collapse Russia again, divide it into 4 areas that they can pillage and then move onto China.
So, imho bolshevism is just a cover for the group and it has nothing to do with left, right, social or any other system for a country, its all about getting it all for themselves and screw the rest. Their leader has said as much.

Loved the unbalanced BS, the guys pulling strings now like santa klaus and Georgie Siros were all f4om the WW 2 era. So was the old bag albright that died recently that happily killed 500,000 Iraqi children, kissinger, one of the worst of the warmongers was born in 1923, definitely not a boomer.
The wonderful thing about blaming the boomers is, as in all things the snowflakes do, you don't have to take responsibility for your actions, and that is where it is all falling apart.
You say throw out all the old politicians because they are too old and don't know whats going on and in their places you put immature whippersnappers who think that pole dancing is more important than running a country. Let's just ignore all of the lazy young hangers on in the
UN and EU who are earning fantastic incomes, doing sweet FA and getting kickbacks as well.
It's not the boomers, the Gen Xers, the Millenials or any other snowflakes, its lack of family structure, values, honesty and self discipline and these have corrupted many generations at all times of history leading to societal downfall.
Clean your own room first, learn a bit about real and not manufactured history, before you start poking a stick.

@nakshatraroy7442 It's not just Russia, whilst they've managed to whip into line a lot of western countries, they forget about south and central America, India, Indonesia, China, many influential countries in the middle east, large numbers of key African countries. So, they are not alone and a lot of these countries are not that well disposed towards the septics, poms and some other western countries.
Russia knows that the septics want to do a number on them, break them up into 4 parts and take all their natural resouces, afterwards moving on to China, then India perhaps! This intent is clearly laid out in public document. So if you are Russia and China what do you do to this existential threat, roll over and let it happen, I 5hink not.
Remember these other countries can quite easily operate without western hegemony and are pushing in that direction, that's what this is all qbout, power and money and Russia sure as hell ain't going to give up. Just one of their multi head nukes can wipe out the Iberian peninsula and this time the septics will get a taste of war on their doorstep. Do they want this? Not all straight forward is it!

@nakshatraroy7442 There is no 'rules based international system' its a fake term that the septics thought up and use to fudge things. If they want something a certain way they cite it to make it alomost appear legitimate, in reality what there is is an international legal system, which is completely different and relies on the rule of laws. The septics don't like them so they spout their own rubbish, so I would suggest that you should be very wary when you hear that term and think about what it really means.
In terms of rule of law I understand your concern and it would appear that Russia and China are pretty bad, however again be very careful of the propaganda that has been pushed with this, how true is it? If you listen to guys like Scott Ritter who lived in Russia for many years he will tell you that the Russians and Russia are very different from what you are being told. As for the fairness of the legal system, just think of Julian Assange and look at how they have been persecuting him a journalist who told us many of the dirty secrets that the septics had been doing, or perhaps Snowden who now lives in Russia, must be a bad palce, after he revealed all of the shenanigans that the septic govt gets up to.
With neighbours and other sovereign countries, how many place have the septics interefered in? We know of the Ukraine in 2014, vicki nuland said it cost them $5 billion to overthrow a democratically elected govt, or perhaps more recently the coup in Pakistan when they ousted Khan, or perhaps the completely illegal sanctions on Venezuela because they wouldn't tow the line and the oil shipments that they stole from them on the high seas and sold, taking their money. Libya and its gold come to mind as well, invasion of Cuba, etc, etc
In all its years, what is it 280 odd, the septics have evidently only not been making war and overthrowing a country for some 21 years. How many have Russia and China?

If you believe these guys I have a bridge in Brooklyn for you to buy. It's all a scam, the artic was supposed to be all melted by 2012, ice thicker than ever, no snow will be seen again 2015, some of the heaviest winter dumps, no more rain in Australia to fill the dams so permanent water shortage 2020 onwards, Australia just haddest its wettest season on record, floods, dams overflowing and desert towns like Alice Springs having more rain than ever, and it hasn't finished, Queensland is still getting dumped on. The only thing that is truly happening is some people aee getting lots of power and money.

@hemantgokhale4164 Humiliate Russia further! Seriously, who do you think in this conflict is the most humiliated? Russia is steadily making the progress that it had planned, it has China, India, large slices of the Middle East, most of Africa and South Africa on its side and this comprises some 80% of the world's population.
Russia does not have rampant inflation, there are no energy shortages, they have milk, baby formula, petrol and diesel as well as wheat, sunflower oil, and some 75% of the world's resouces within their borders, resources that the west is paying roubles for to get hold of.
The west has senile brandon, doofus bojo, von der lying, macaroon, and 'I know nothing' schultz. Their inflation rate is through the roof with power ip 48%, diesl nearly doubled in price, if you can buy iy, no baby formula, migrants pouring through their borders getting better handouts than the citizens of their own countries, massive internal and external debt, and very little credibility in the world given their lying, cheating and stealing. By this I mean Libya, stolen gold, Syria, stealing oil, Iraq, stolen money and gold, Yugoslavia destroyed cities. Not to mention Afghanistan, stolen foreign reserves and gold, Yemen, arms sales and then what they did in Vietnam.
No, imho Russia will not be humiliated but the west will as their currencies backed by empty promises collapse and we move to a multipolar world. Not before time too.

@Andy-P Disagree, imho it would appear that you only want to see the one side. Remember the Chinese Ambassador killed when their embassy was hit, one of the 'few' that missed? Wholesale destruction of the power system? What about the 500,000 Iraqis that died through sanctioning medical supplies? Death and destruction does not come about just by flattening a place.
Look up the azov brigade to see why the corridors are being shelled, see how they are installing their troops in residential areas and then not letting the residents flee. Check out how one of the Ukrainian commanders was murdered by the brigade when he visited them and told them to stop killing their own people, the Ukrainian army thenbombed the brigade. What about the 14,000 people killed in Donbass since 2014 or the fact that 155,000 Ukrainian troops were massed on the borders of Donbass before Putin went in to stop it. Why do you think he has been able to encircle their army so easily in that area?
You cannot just flippantly say 'some went the wrong way' that wrong way has consequences.
Putin know that there are ethnic Russians in the conflict and that many are related to Ukrainians, hew is doing his level best to minimise their casualties. Remember the guys from Snake Island that were 'all killed' and lionised on tv, well they were all brought back to land by the Russian navy, given food and water and then taken home. I always watch both side presentations to try and get a balanced perspective, I think that's important.
Be very careful what you are seeing, much of it has come ftom other wars and then being purported to be from this conflict. Remember 81% of all coups and conflicts since WWII have been perpetrated by the yanks, annd I am not sure that there are all that many people who are happy with their 'liberation' except perhaps the heads of the corporations that have benefitted from them.

The stupidity of this of course is that it is the middle class that creates a stable society along with all of the products and services that make it very comfortable, including hospitals, mobile phones, rubbish, green power, clean water, electricity, oil and gas supplies, etc., all daily th8ngs that are taken for granted. Its most definitely not the elite or others that do this, so anywhere you observe the suppression of the middle class you will observe the failure of a society in all sorts of ways.

@buzuxi Those pushing this total renewables theme are ideologues and have no idea how the real world lives and yhe use of gas and oil in their lives, fertilisers, dyes, pharmaceuticals, cloth and clothing, shoes, paints, steel, platics (cases, screens, chips for their mobile phone) cooking and heating.
They want everybody to live in caves again.

Bye bye democracy, as much as you have at this time, and hello to special interest groups, unelected 'spokesmen', woke bureaucrats going wild, restrictions on personal liberty and a gravy train to them all funded by people's taxes. Absolutely no representation despite the taxation!
WEF 1984 wet dream, Deceitful Dan will no doubt be at the fore of this, un-elected, unbridled power, no budgetry limits, no accountability and police protection. Where's the southern hemispheres Robin Hood when you need him?

Always be careful in believing the temperatures they give you, in many cases it's because the measuring equipment has been relocated so in fact you are not comparing apple with apples, more like oranges. In one case I know of they moved the thermometer meauring house with all the equipment from the local aerodrome located outside the city in the country, to a park located next to the council buildings, 'for convenience' sake.
Of course the temperatures immediately increased due to the background effects of the city, buildings, roads, shadows, trees and breezes blowing over hot surfaces such as roofs. However, the temperature was still shown as being for the same city and no mention made of the relocation, conveniently at a time when the whole 'climate change' story was being wheeled out. Cui bono?

Yes, just sit in your little house peasant and amuse yourselves with board games while we, the ruling elite, continue to live the high life, good food, cars, heat, water, clothing, air travel etc all paid for by your taxes. You will own nothing and be happy, dystopia, nearly there.

If you examine it in its totality it makes great sense as you can see all the previous steps that were taken, firstly divide and conquer Yugoslavia, then Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and then Russia through Ukraine followed by China through Taiwan. There have of course been some unsuccessful detours along the way, failed coup attempts in Turkiye, Syria, Belarus, Trans Caucasus and Iran et al. The EU and the production powerhouse that is Europe will be destroyed too which gives the US their industry and eliminates competition for US products.
This has all become very clear to many countries and people of the world resulting in a progressive realignment of alliances and friendships, ultimately accelerating the move to a multipolar world, which will be much better for all concerned.

Collection of virtue signalling wankers most of who have never done an honest days work in their lives, or created anything, just lived off the govt or a quango, talking and pushing paper around. These people have been the most privileged generation ever, air conditioned schools and offices, being driven to school and back, heavy users of electronic devices and frequent purchasers of new goods, e.g. a new iPhone, even when the old one worked fine. Extremely high consumersim of designer clothing, convenience goods and services.
Wait until the power goes off, their phone doesn't work, there is no food on the shelves and they freeze during winter, they may perhaps re-evaluate their stance.

Could be, however the plan for a unipolar world controlled by them is in tatters, tatters I tell you, so that will be of concern.
Europe is being de-industrialised as per plan, check, migrants are in to dilute nationalism, check, police and army integrated to control populace, check, shutting down farmers to create food scarcity to control populace as well as their numbers, check, so yes happy with this.
However now all this is coming to pass and they are starting to see the consequences of their actions and they may very well not be what they wanted, they may not be that happy. Mmmmm......

No wonder we are going backwards, all these wowser women trying to stop people doing things, if we had listened to them in the past we would be still living in caves! Nice and safe, no cars, no electricity, no runn8ng water, no toilets, no soap, etc., see where this is going?
In NZ, despite all of the road taxes we pay, the roads are in a bad way so instead of fixing them with the money we paid, they are reducing the speed limit. That's clever, productivity is slipping backwards and this aggravates the situation.

Excellent comment, just as I thought. I too left the corporate life and went farming for 16 years before retiring, it was the best thing I ever did for the lifestyle, family and myself. What we did mattered, and now we have some great memories of our pets, friends, local towns and the countryside that will always be with us. Too few people can say that and we have a lot of friends who are very envious of what we did but at the time said we were mad to do it!
A very good friend of mine sold his advertising business to go farming and he is loving it.
Anybody thinking of it, go for it, yes it is all your eggs in one basket, but as Warren Buffett says, that's how he does it, he just watches that basket very carefully.
