In the majority of states, it's against the law to be in physical control of a car while you're under the influence. You don't necessarily have to be driving to be considered in control of the vehicle. She drove there, and was intoxicated, why wasn't that enough to arrest her? Plus isn't public intoxication a misdemeanor in Florida. Again I ask what was meant by "cut her a break?"

  35. Andrew Warren is correct, the way the bill is written it violates parts of the 1st Amendment. (now we know most people will not read the bill) This report neglects to mention that people plowing through protesters with their car, or people they deem as protesters will get immunity, that regardless if you are violent or not, you can be deemed violent and held in prison without bail and be even charged with a third degree felony for being at or near a protest.
